Tips & Best Practices

📝 Organizing Your Collection

Add watched items first, then build your watchlist. Write brief reviews to remember why you rated something. Use search and sort to stay organized.

⭐ Rating Consistency

Develop a consistent scale (5.0 average, 7.0+ good, 8.5+ great). Use decimals for nuance. Your stats dashboard shows rating distributions to help maintain consistency.

👥 Social Features

Browse friends' collections and filter by rating to find their top picks. Use privacy settings to control what you share. Respect what others choose to keep private.

💾 Data Management

Export regularly as backup. JSON files include all metadata. Smart imports update entries instead of duplicating, so reimporting is safe.

🔒 Privacy & Security

Make any category private individually. Private data stays completely hidden from friends. Use a strong password and enable email verification for security.

📊 Using Statistics Effectively

Check stats to spot patterns in your viewing habits. Find your top directors and favorite eras. Use insights to discover content you'll love. Updates in real-time.
